The Xiaomi 17 series is set to launch later this month in China. Ahead of the unveiling, the company has started teasing the secondary display, which will be exclusive to the Pro models. While an earlier teaser offered only a glimpse, the latest video showcases the full rear panel and highlights the versatility of the secondary screen.

Xiaomi 17 Pro series to feature a versatile rear display

According to Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will feature a large secondary display covering the rear camera module. This screen will allow a range of customizations, including clock themes, animated wallpapers, virtual avatars and even personalized images or GIFs. The display will also work for practical uses such as rear camera selfie previews, quick access to smart home or car controls, and contextual shortcuts that adapt based on location or network status.

As per reports, the Xiaomi 17 Pro will be a compact flagship phone equipped with a 6.3-inch display and a 6,300mAh battery. On the other hand, the Pro Max will be a bigger offering equipped with a 6.8-inch screen and a 7,500mAh battery.

Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro Geekbench listings appear

Two upcoming Xiaomi smartphones bearing the model numbers 25113PN0EC and 25098PN5AC have surfaced in Geekbench’s database. These devices are said to be the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro smartphones.

The Geekbench listings reveal that these devices are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 16GB of RAM, and Android 16. The chipset includes two cores working at 4.61GHz, six cores operating at 3.63GHz, and Adreno 840 for graphics.

The Xiaomi 17 scored 3156 in the single-core test and 9254 in the multi-core test. On the other hand, the 17 Pro recorded 3025 and 9178 points in both tests, respectively.
